Rebekah Ratliff

Rebekah Ratliff, CCLS is a mediator, arbitrator and neutral analyst with JAMS. She is a credentialed former commercial insurance claims professional with more than 25 years of experience in evaluating, negotiating and settling complex casualty claims loss matters, nationwide and internationally with settlements totaling in the millions. Having evaluated thousands of cases, Rebekah is masterful in navigating the negotiation process and understands the human condition, a key skill to enabling trust in the ADR process.  As a mediator and arbitrator, Ms. Ratliff has become a trusted dispute resolution professional in high-stakes cases and sensitive matters involving high profile individuals. Ms. Ratliff believes that people do not really want to be in dispute and finds fulfillment in facilitating compromises via neutral analysis to assist in moving cases to settlement or through the alternative dispute resolution process.

Ms. Ratliff serves as the 2nd Vice Chair of the ADR Section of the National Bar Association (NBA) and she is the Diversity Committee co-chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Dispute Resolution Section. Ms. Ratliff is a member of Arbitral Women and the National African American Insurance Association. She is an internationally sought-after presenter, panelist, and lecturer in the insurance and legal industries. Rebekah is an academic in the field of dispute resolution, serving as faculty for numerous ABA and NBA ADR programs and in the law school community. Ms. Ratliff is an Arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and she is a CPR Distinguished Neutral. She has frequently been published in the ABA Dispute Resolution Section’s “Just Resolutions” Newsletter and the NBA ADR Section’s Quarterly Newsletter, “Resolution”.

Ms. Ratliff is the recipient of various prestigious awards to include, a 7th U.S. District (IL) Congressional Award, for her work in alternative dispute resolution. Prior to joining JAMS, Rebekah founded a national mediation, arbitration and consulting firm, Capital City Mediations, LLC, a certified MBE, based in the Atlanta, GA area. Ms. Ratliff holds a psychology degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana.
