Michael Pitton has been an experienced arbitrator since 1997, is AV-rated, admitted to practice in Iowa, Minnesota and Illinois, and is included in the nationwide Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. He has also been a member of the adjunct faculty of the University of Iowa College of Law for more than twelve years, where he teaches several arbitration courses to upper level law students. He has also practiced law since 1977 in the areas of litigation and alternative dispute resolution, which has included trials, appeals, arbitrations, mediations and administrative hearings in several state and federal courts, ADR proceedings and agency hearings, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He is on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Alternative Dispute Resolution Attorneys and is a co-founding member of Iowa Arbitration Association LLC d/b/a Iowa Arbitrators.
