Arbitration Coversation No. 66: Independent Arbitrator Sophie Nappert

In this episode of the Arbitration Conversation, Amy interviews Sophie Nappert, an arbitrator in independent practice who is based in London. Before becoming a full-time arbitrator she pursued a career as an advocate and was Head of International Arbitration at a global law firm. Sophie pioneered scholarship on technology in arbitration that is cited as a reference on the topic. In 2021, she co-founded ArbTech, a worldwide, online community forum fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue on technology, dispute resolution, and the future of justice, and she is involved with the CyberArb initiative on IT security in arbitration.

The discussions focuses on the intersection between arbitration and technology and the increasing importance of cybersecurity, data protection, and cryptography tools such as blockchains in the process of conducting arbitrations online.
